Iranian Hostage Rescue Attempt(Desert One, Iran) April 24, 1980; 3 Marines killed when helicopter collides with KC-130 during refueling. Marines' role was to fly eight helos (carrying rescue team from the Army Delta Force) to the Tehran Embassy.
