A Marine is not just born, a Marine is created, crafted, and sculpted. Being a Marine is a state of mind and body. It is knowing your limits and then going beyond, doing whatever has to be done to accomplish the mission. A Marine is a finely worked sword. Fast, swift, and deadly. Just as a finely crafted sword is a work of art made from raw iron and coal, so too is a Marine crafted from a raw body and spirit.

THE SOLDIER'S ROAD

When taking the Military as your path in life
To leave your family, with your kids and wife
To new adventures, and places unknown
To except the fact, that your life's not your own

But love of country, and the pride from within
Standing taller than most, from the places you've been
The pride in your wife's and your children's eyes
Makes a soldier more humble and a lot more wise

When orders come in that your shipping out
And coming back brings a possible doubt
Love gets stronger, for the red, white and blue
Your family gives their all, and their all is you

America Thanks You, for the Freedom we share
And the mighty cross, that you so willingly bare
Your path walks in footsteps, of brave women and men
To protect our homeland, Our Heroes we send

Returning home, no bands do you hear
Just waiting arms, of love ones so dear
When America's children, become what they will
It's because of a Soldier, who paid the bill
